Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 The Mets continue to enjoy the home environs, welcoming the 2-1 Nats --- looking to grab a slice of that first place pie --- for a mid-week series. Mike Pelfrey makes his 2012 debut locking up against Edwin Jackson. EJ is a German-born righthander with the good face who went 12-9/3.79 in 2011, splitting the season between the Cards and the White Sox. It was the second straight season he endured a mid-season trade. He's on a one-year deal with Washington, so a third such deal isn't out of the question. Two Things to Remember for This Game:Kiddies.Wives.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 it's 4/9. technicalities. I like Jackson, but the Mets are gonna destroy him.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 I may have missed this, it being EAster and all, but I assume Francisco is unavailable for saving games tomorrow. rauch then? Ramirez? Bobby?
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Right around 4:30 this afternoon, Mike Pelfrey will eat a grilled ham and cheese sandwich.

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 4 K's thru 2 for Pelfrey. PitchFX showing him hitting 95 and 96 in the first and routinely at 94. This his fancy new windup? He always had it in him.
