Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2012 Author Posted July 26, 2012 Met number 935, already having logged a scoreless inning and a two-out double: Matt Harvey!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 It wasn't a pretty debut, but Garrett Olson became the 936th NYM on 8/8/12, facing 5 batters and actually retiring one of them.I suppose there's some relief to the 'kid' (now 28 y/o) that it wasn't his ML virgin effort.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 I'd be shocked if any of those tickets came in on the money. And I wouldn't be surprised if only Wheeler ever tasted a postgame spread as a Met. (Gronauer and Reyes have both been demoted this season.)Just taking a snapshot, using only vaguely scientific principles. Predicting the future is HARD.

The Wheeler one is interesting actually. How many new Mets do we think debut as Sept callups, and how many are new for Opening Day? does that put us past 950? Word is probably Familia. Lagaras is on the 40 man so an easy call up. Havens?
Met Hunter Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Met Number 931: Omar QuintanillaFact About Captain Quint: Once traded for Jay Witasick.I noticed this pic on UMDB as well. Its not Omar, its Jordany. Players in column Q get no love.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Buffalo's final game has been rained out in central PA - so it's jail break time for the call-ups in a rush to get to StLPlanes, trains and automobiles at the ready.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Fred Lewis and Jeurys Familia need numbers. My guess:Lewis - 22Familia - 47
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 I thought we retired 47 for Glavine. Well, not retired so much as lit it on fire and swore we'd never speak of those days again.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 I think 47 works best on lefties.Unfortunately, Glavine didn't always work best in 47.
