I am Met 919, Ramon Ramirez. What's that? The beard? Thanks! I put a lot of time into it.

Already in a jam.

so does frank frank or cedeno come in first?

I didn't see Ronny in there. Double switch? I say Frank. If two guys debut on defense simultaneously, we go with their defensive position number, right?

I was thinking this in the stands. They went in at the same time, and Cedeno handled the first ball in play for Francisco's first batter.

Lineup order maybe?

I'd go by the PA announcer. Who did he announce first? (And... is there any way of knowing?)

I'm 96% certain (or so) that it was "Now pitching, #60 Jon Rauch" "Also now playing second base for the Mets, Ronny Cedeno"

Frankie Frank touched the ball prior to Cedeno fielding the grounder and/or batting - so I say it's FF.

I know we probably discussed this before, but what about Robert Carson and those other 2 or 3 guys in NYM history who got called up but never appeared in a game?
It appears that we're not counting them in this list but don't most sources (UMDB, MbtN and others) count them since they most certainly did take up a roster spot?

I think those sites consider Mets who dress but don't play as non-canonical. That's the way we've been playing it here as well.

btw, I referenced this thread/count in my Hofstra speech.

Did anyone do any recruiting for new Crane Pool members at the conference?

Yeah, we all have to make a concerted effort. The place is not only dying, but the whole genre of the internet interest forum seems to be. And it should not.

Currently scheduled to be Met # 950: Matt Harvey.

Currently scheduled to be Met # 975: Scott Moviel.

Currently scheduled to be Met # 1000: Francisco Pea

Can we race the Texas Rangers? they're at 941.

Does that include players on the Senators, or at least those who moved from Washington to Texas?
