That's a big thing that gets me about the bunt. It's so frequently followed by a walk, meaning two batters in a row, people are trying to give something away.

Even Jerry Manuel didn't bunt in the first inning of game with a runner on second and nobody out. Wee Willie SmallBalls did it frequently; even in Denver.
