Bay vs. Harang (17-46, 5HR)
Wright - .667 (8-12, HR)

Here's another good milestone to keep an eye on. David Wright needs 33 RBI to tie Strawberry for the club record. Achievable this year.

So evidently it's Dickey's turn to put us in a big hole to dig out of in the late innings.

Meanwhile on the bat front:
- 1st inning, two on/none out
- 2nd inning, three on/none out
And the only batter who came up in those situations who even got the ball out of the infield was Dickey and his wasn't far enough to do anything about it.
Wright = weak grounder which should have been a GiDP
Duda - K looking
Bay = weak grounder
Pagan = K looking
Turner = weak grounder

Nice showing guys.

Let's drive this former-Red-pitcher from the game and take a bite out of the pen.

Safe and secure at second.

We need a knockout punch.

We made him throw enough pitches over the first 4 innings - just didn't do enough with them.
Two potential Sac Flys and two hits w/RiSP produced a grand total of one run.

3 RBIs by the 6th inning but none by anyone in the starting eight (Dickey, Evans, Pridie)
That's got to be a fairly unusual occurrence.

Kinda wish we had pinch-hit for Dickey when we had the bases loaded. What an opportunity we had then.

Then? NOW!! Two on and two out! Come on, Thole! Or Paulino! Or whoever!

Once you ring a bell, it can't be unrung.

Anybody still think that Parnell is the Mets closer for '12? Another pathetic outing by Parnell. Good for Terry for leaving Parnell in. It's his mess. The offense got 'em within 2 but that's a distant memory thanks to a AAAA pitcher.

MLB.tv didn't cut the sound out after the top of the 9th so we heard Keith ask: "are they going to bring in the big cheeseburger?"

Error by Forsythe brings us Willie Harris as the tying run. With 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, I'd be tempted to PH Hairston to see if he can crack one out.

Well, that sucked. Our inability to keep the Padres off the scoreboard this week has certainly made things difficult, as have some idiotic plays (Pagan's dumb throw, Tejada's failure to slide). Bottom line, Dickey and Parnell can't be giving up that much to the Padres.

Great seats tonight too.
