Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Well, shit, somebody's got to start the IGT and I almost had a two-game winning streak last week doing this (the blown save v the Braves killed me).1. Jose Reyes SS2. Justin Turner 3B3. Carlos Beltran RF4. Jason Bay LF5. Scott Hairston CF6. Ronny Paulino C7. Lucas Duda 1B8. Ruben Tejada 2B9. R.A. Dickey - PHairston in because of the LHP Gonzalez. Duda in on account of Murphy "struggling" acc to Terry and working on things with Hudgens.

He should be in or around section 327, row 4, seats 1 and 2. He's about 25, caucasian, 6'2" 225, reddish hair, glasses, and a chinbeard. You buy him beer and yours and his will be on me.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 SNY production meeting: "people are relaxing, watching the Mets, what can we do to make the telecast even better?" "I know! Get Kevin to talk about tornadoes." "Perfect! Then Gary and Keith can talk about all the natural disasters we've had lately."
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Little-known fact: Keith Hernandez is deathly afraid of bees.:
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Hey, Turner, wait until the ump punches you out before heading to the dugout.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Gray pants and solid tops confuse me. Half classick, half neo.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Great point by Keef about Gonzalez. They take pictures out so early these days that you rarely see a pitcher find his rhythm and get better like this.Dickey too, maybe.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2011 Author Posted June 22, 2011 Well, the fact that we got rid of Gio can only be a good thing.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Damn it, Angel. Backman would leadoff with a bunt down the firstbase line there.But... JOSE!
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 How you can even consider trading Reyes is beyond me. Contract year or not, too much talent and spark not to hang on to.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 One out. But man, what was Pennington looking at? I was swinging at that pitch from my room. And now Coco is on second.

You'll receive prospects you hope will manifest into talent. For once, I'd like to see a talented everyday player come up, hit their prime and grow old in a Mets uniform. That occurrence is way too infrequent.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I don't like the runner getting third uncontested with a pitcher who likes to bounce curves.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 If Dickey wanted to run out there and kick him in the shins -- or worse -- no one would blame him.
