Keith Hernandez (Edgy DC)
Eddie Murray (Edgy DC)
Gary Carter (JCL)
Chris Carter (JCL)
Jeff Kent (JCL)
Mo Vaughn (HahnSolo)

I thought that Kong would be the last Met guessed. Though he was one of only two Mets to lead his league in OPS after leaving the Mets, Kingman --because of his double Mets stint --also led his league in OPS before coming to the Mets.

2008 AL Milton Bradley (TEX) .999

I wouldn't have guessed him if you'd given me 500 guesses.

Bradley's best seasons were in 2007 and '08, although 2007 was a partial one (61 games/244 PA's). On the heels of his 2008 season, Bradley then signed a 3 yr/$30M contract with the Cubs, where he sucked in 2009 and was traded to Seattle.

Good guesses, but wrong. Robinson led the NL in OPS for three straight season (1960-62), but led the AL in OPS just once - in 1966, his triple crown season.

McGwire led the AL in OPS once (1996) and the NL once (1998).

The New York Mets all-time OPS leader (min. 1,500 PA) is:

Here's a trivia question I came up with while poking around the Mets all-time OPS numbers:

Who is the only player to get an extra-base hit in his only NY Met plate appearance?

And one more Mets OPS trivia question:

Olerud's the Mets all time leader in OPS (min. 1,500 PA's). But by lowering the min. PA requirement to 100 PA's, Olerud moves to second place on the Mets all-time OPS leader-board. Who then, is the Mets all-time OPS leader (min. 100 PA's)?

Nope. But here's a hint: the 100 min PA leader is a 21st century guy, or an 'oughts guy. A 2000's guy.

What's your beef with Ike, speaking of? He's hurt ferchrissakes. I know that the play in question didn't look like much on TV, but hurt's hurt, no?

Speaking of hurt, Moises Alou?

No, but good guess. By lowering the min. PA to 100, Alou (414 Mets PA's) ranks 4th all-time Mets OPS. This guy knew how to hit.

Yeah. I'm more feeling sorry for myself than him though, if you couldn't tell. I AM troubled by a 24-year-old taking a half-season or more to recover from said injury. I don't think getting totally wrecked in a minor bump on the field -- look at the tape, they barely touch --then taking forever to recover is a good tendency when your 24 and your team desperately needs young cheap power hitters.

Rickey's Met OPS ranks 11th all-time at 100 min. PA's. Lowering the min PA's requirement to 100 PA's for this category allows for the inlcusion of two unlikely Mets to the franchise top 10 OPS leaders: the all-time leader, and one other Met. These two Mets are so unimaginable that I'd be surprised if anybody got any of 'em.

The top 10 Mets OPS all-time leaders at 100 min. PA's:

1.
2. John Olerud (2,018 PA's) .926
3. Mike Piazza (3,941 PA's) .915
4. Moises Alou (414 PA's) .898
5. David Wright (4,507 PA's) .893
6. Darryl Strawberry (4,549 PA's) .878
7. Carlos Beltran (3,514 PA's) .864
8. Carlos Delgado (2,023 PA's) .857
9. Bobby Bonilla (2,040 PA's) .851
10.
11. Rickey Henderson (650 PA's) .839
