While waiting for a KTE, here are some tidbits from today's media guide:

Houston and New York each have a 5-11 season record, however the Mets started off 4-4 and have gone 1-7 since while the 'Stros started off 1-7 but have split their last 8 games 4-4.

Michael Bourne is 7 for 7 in Stolen Bases attmpts this season He has reached safely in 12 straight games and in 51 of his last 53 games dating back to last season.

Carlos Lee leads the majors in outfield assists with 4.

Astros pitchers are batting .286 in 2011, tops in the majors (the Mets are second at .200).

Terry's better PH, Murphy, and better RP, Isringhausen, didn't get in the game and the players that were used didn't come through. Sometimes you shouldn't save your "bullets" for later in the game.

Depressing to look outmatched so badly by a team with an equally shitty record. The reality is as long as you've got bullpen pitchers shitting on the mound, and shaky defense, combined with a lack of hitting for power and/or average, well, you're going to be those guys.
