Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) The Mets are merely a 7-2 stretch from getting back to .500, starting tonight with everyone's favorite starter, D.J. Carrasco! My mini goal here would be to get back above .500 by the time they face the Phillies at the end of the month. They'd need to go 9-3 for that. Edited April 15, 2011 by Guest

Yes, indeed it is.What's the alternative? Being bitter and angry and proclaiming that all our pitchers would be 6th starters on the PHillies and boo they all suck and Reyes will leave and Beltran will never walk again and Bay? who wants him anyway? lucky if he hits more home runs than Castillo for the Mets!I forgot about Jackie day.. I dunno.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 By the way, there's a massive storm heading heast across the south after ripping apart Oklahoma and Arkansas, so this might be a struggle of a series to get through.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I am resigned to 2011 being an epically bad Mets edition.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Could this be the Mets' new theme song? Just found this dorky ginger folk-soul artist this week. That's my dog![youtube:n2pt1yfx]MQxcnjrDZIU[/youtube:n2pt1yfx]

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Never heard of him till this week. I can barely believe he's for real, but there's a couple of songs on that new record that hooked me already, he's got a little Van Morrison thing going on.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Carrasco would have been the pitcher with the highest uni number ever to start a game for the Mets except its Chuck Taylor Night. http://mbtn.net/it-came-bullpen

Unless they try to shove a DH at us, which they won't given Fox blackout rules probably.

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 This is probably ridiculous hope/optimism/deludedness, but maybe the 'exploring' different pitching options was related to the Young thing as in they were debating pitching him tomorrow?
