If you follow Rubin on Twitter you know that answer to this , don't be a twatter please

Questions

1) Isringhausen's last pitch as a Met came against what team and where?

2) Who was the batter?

3) What was the outcome?

4) Two former Mets pitched in relief for the other team that day, one past Met and one future Met, the future Met debuted on the Mets twenty years after the past Met did .

I saw Rubin's tweet, so I know the first 3...but have no idea about #4.

Orosco sounds like a good bet.

Here goes an honest man

I had no idea, so I looked it up. Hate to go all Valadius, but there's NO FRICKING WAY anyone gets this without cheating. Hell, even staring at the boxscore, I couldn't figure out the answer to #4.

Do you not think that the answers to questions 1,2 and 3 could help lead by POE to the answer for # 4?

SPOILER ALERT
If you look at the boxscore here the answer to number four will be apparent, thanks to the color coding.

I never would have guessed it in a million years. Once I was told that it wasn't Jesse Orosco, I was clueless.

Pretty trivial trivia. I do recall Izzy was roughed up not long before his departure but didn't remember against whom. Who would? (other than Greg Prince)

I do remember the trade, I was out yakking it up with KC and SuperLuisLopezUltra on the intertubes.

The key to the question is the 20 year difference in the Mets debuts.

Isringhausen last pitched for the Mets in 1999, so if you had a player who made his first appearance for the Mets in the late 80s and a player who made his first appearance for the Mets in the late 2000s, there's your crossover.

Of course, I have no idea what the team is. Names that came to mind as having long careers in the majors and also pitched for the Mets: Kevin Tapani; Mike Stanton; Darren Oliver, etc.

Gwreck is on the correct path

Mike Stanton was actually involved in the trade of one of these players but he is not the answer, and Kevin Tapani was involved in a trade for the other player.

Based on Irish's clues:
Rick Aguilera debuted as a Met in 1985 (involved in the Tapani, Viola trade); Felix Heredia debuted as a Met in 2005 (Stanton NYY deal).

I have no idea who they pitched together with in 1999. Nor do I have a clue on the first three answers.

These are the two players
