SugarPants lost me at "in a wrap." Otherwise, that IS one hell of a sandwich.

Instead of with oatmeal in a wrap, I bet that would be awesome on oatmeal bread.

I've had it on multigrain and oat-bran bread. It is indeed delicious.

Plus, even if the bananas are a little under- or overripe, the kiss of honey makes up for the sweetness deficit. (Nutella works too, if you're feeling a little indulgent/supernutty.)

Ted Berg's sandwich reviews are what keep me coming back there, frankly. (Although he's dead wrong about the Sloppy Bao. BaoGuette, IMO, kinda sucks.)

SNY's special in which David "went home" to Virginia revealed David is wildly enthusiastic about his high school, his high school teachers, the Norfolk Tides, his brother, the trophy case at his high school, the assistant principal from when he was in high school, the fact that the assistant principal is now principal, that his dad's law enforcement connections got him access to Tide autographs and foul balls when he was a kid...

And that was the first three minutes.

David, on earlier with Francesa, repeated a line he's used a lot lately, that the Mets will be OK if everyone plays up to the back of their baseball cards.

So all the Mets have to do is blow bubbles, play bridge and work for the team in the offseason?

Or take up the art of generic, humorous baseball caricature.

Did Chris Young pick Princeton?

You figure that Bay played for years in Pittsburgh ... Niese is from Ohio ... Capuano went to Duke ... and Pelfrey is from Kansas.
Wright, he's doing the 'I'm a New Yorker through and through and this proves it' thing

Unless he's a George Mason, Richmond, VCU, or Old Dominion fan... he doesn't really have much to choose from in ol' Virginny this year.

I think VT is his home state team. Knot pretty much nailed it.

What a bunch of suckups we root for.

Wright has talked in the past about being a big VT fan (football anyway) based on the fact that one of his brothers goes/went there. Of course it's always easy to latch onto winning college programs so over the last decade or so VT tends to get the nod over UVA among Virginia residents even though VT is tucked away in the far south-western corner of the state and about a six or more hour drive from most of the more populated northern & eastern sections.
It's like in my family where my numerous Duke relatives care a lot about ACC hoops but not much about football. Meanwhile the priorities of my Clemson relatives are exactly the opposite. Funny how that works.

His teammates!

David Wright, who had been pulled in the seventh inning, greeted victorious teammates with high-fives as they entered the clubhouse.

Nice placement, Wright told Hernandez.

Murphalicious, he then told Murphy.

Rob Schneider is David Wright in Makin' Copies!

David is wildly enthusiastic about all the wildly enthusiastic threads on the board the last few days......

Please, no sarcasm in this thread, if you are wildly enthusiastic then there are threads for you.

I like that your character can't spell "trade" but has no problem with "allegiances".

It's as if your Dickey is showing and you can't quite tuck it back in.

What a great experience for Mason yesterday!!! As a 5-year-old, who just adores the Braves, he had no clue the All-Star that he was playing catch with at the time. My wife and I were just amazed at what was happening! We didn't think the day could get any better than that until David threw his arm band into the stands after the game, and Mason got it! He hasn't wanted to take it off since. He even tried to sleep in it last night, but we wouldn't let him! He did wear it to his T-ball game tonight, though! If you get a chance, please let David know how much that 15 minutes meant to the kids. His fan base grew a little larger in the South over the weekend. All Mason normally talks about is Chipper Jones, and now if you ask him who his favorite player is, he says David Wright. ... Maybe we'll be lucky enough to have him as a Brave one day :)
