duan Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 that's how many more we can afford I reckon, I know it might seem unusual to think about it this way round, but in my head that's how i'm loooking at. 90 wins in the NL East gets you to the playoffs 6 times out of the last 10 so i'm reckoning that we'll be in the shake up as long as we don't lose more then 72 games. Still though, 19 isn't very many when we're so good at snatching them from the jaws of victory.

Can accept a couple more losses if they come against the Nats or the Astros, as long as most of the wins come from the Braves and Phillies.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 The Mets need to go 1-0 in their next one. Everything else is irrelevant until further notice.

duan Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2010 Author Posted August 4, 2010 i would maintain that my thinking is at least part sculpted by the fact that i'm rarely awake for the end of a game.

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 I'd say 19 losses (if this team could limit themselves to that, which I don't think they can) is still too many.15 is the number I'm going with...meaning that I predict 93-69 would win this division...no less.
