The Mets have never lost whenever I've started an IGT (3-0).

"Let's keep the brooms in the closet" -- sounds vaguely sexual, somehow.

If the Mets score 14 runs tomorrow I'll give every member of CPF a .........never mind.

Pre-game Jerry:
Castillo back tomorrow.
When Ollie returns, he goes to the pen
Takahashi starts on Thursday
Thole probably down after catching R.A. on Tuesday.

So how will the Mets make room for Ollie?[/quote:2cg17gmc]

I'd guess Tejada (or if Reyes remains unavailable, Turner) goes down for Castillo. Thole for Ollie? Or Valdes?

And Bay follows Wright with his warning track power.[/quote:uqiz5cbc]

Bay really misses those cheap pop fly home runs over the Green Monster. They're just routine outs in most other ballparks. His power seems to have simply disappeared. I think Citi Field has gotten into his head.

Bay's hit 20+ road HR's in two of the last four seasons. During his two years in Boston, 34 of his 67 HR's were away.

I really wanted Thole to pinch hit for Blanco there. I have no doubt that Jerry was able to hear me suggest same.

Okay, I'll admit I was too lazy to look up his splits. Truthfully, I'm not surprised by the splits you found. As a matter of fact, I find them depressing. It shows that his power outage isn't necessarily attributable to Citi Field's dimensions and may be due to something physical (or mental). Either way, he shows little resemblance to the middle of the line up slugger the Mets envisioned when they signed him this winter.
