Mets have home-field advantage in the World Series!

I assume McCann will win the MVP, but Byrd gets Schaefer points for both the defensive play in the 9th, and a great PA in drawing the walk right before McCann's hit.

Is there Schaefer voting for this game?

My nephew was watching, 14, and I didn't realize it til just now.
He had never seen the NL win a AS game in his life.
Yikes.

Kinda puts things in some kind of perspective, that I can't quite grasp atm.

McCann's gotta be the MVP, right?

Oh, the shame, Joe Girardi.

I feel great about this.

George gets it, has to be him right, he saved the ASG.

I was in Phillie at the Vet for a game right before the All-Star Game there in 1996, and we were in town to take my then-4 year-old to Sesame Place.

That would be the kid who graduated high school last month.

He'll have to change his uniform number to double-0 for the No. of All-Star Games he's won.

I gave it to him as the ball hit off the wall.
Well, maybe not then. Maybe when the 3rd run slid across the plate.

I could not keep up with this, had company, but I'm reading now and this is a most enjoyable 2010 AS IGT.

This is even better than Steinbrenner firing his cardiologist.

How could that guy be talkin possible NL teams in the big show and not mention our Mets?
Hey......now that I think about it, thats a great omen.

It's a good thing Steinbrenner's dead. Otherwise Girardi would be on the phone being fired right now and Hughes getting his bags packed for Triple-A.

Fuck! Konerko hits a grand-slam off Adam Wainwright. 5-3 AL.

OMG, cruel and classic TSS.

Had there been one of our guys on the mound, I would have not only believed it, but expected it.

Bonus: Hughes gets the loss.
I'm in Vegas. I put 20 on the NL to win. Made 22.

For the first time in MK's lifetime, the National League has won the All-Star Game!

Grey jersey. Not sure of the cap. I think black with the blue bill.

And as an example of how long this has been coming, I was reminded that the last time the NL won this, Mike Piazza was the MVP...as a Dodger.

If he wore a Mets jersey, it would have been somehow disrespectful.

Thanks! Of the road uniforms the Mets wear, that's the one I like best. (Grey jersey, blue-brimmed cap.) I'd prefer to see the solid blue cap on the road, but that probably won't happen again until they're ready to close the third Yankee Stadium.

But that metallic sheen on the blue and that crappy outlined insignia is just boogers, isn't it?

The orange shoes, on the other hand hand, are Sheariffic.
