In what appeared to be a staged moment (an ESPN camera just happened to be there), Alex Rodriguez interrupted his pregame stretch and trotted over to greet Joe Torre, who was standing behind the batting cage. At the end of the day, I just wanted to be a gentleman and do the right thing." The manager jokingly held his hands up as though he was fending off Rodriguez, who countered with some shadow-boxing moves. The two men shook hands and spoke for 30-45 seconds, at the end of which Rodriguez was heard saying, "Thanks, Joe." "It was a big zoo on Friday and I didn't want to get caught up in that," Rodriguez said. "It took me a few days to get my thoughts, and I did that today. It was a nice exchange." I think one of these days Joe is going to find himself disappearing from MFY photographs like some disgraced Politburo member from the Stalin era.

Kay despises Joe Torre. He was ranting yesterday about how A-Rod shouldn't have gone over there and he should've kept the hate going, complete with advice to kids "Kids, hate is healthy. People don't hate enough."
