7:05 PM start on Memorial Day is stupid.

7:05 in San Diego. 10:05 where it matters!

The SoCal teams always play at night. Guess they figure everyone is at the beach during the day and won't come to the game.
Plus, it could be worse, 4 teams (all in the AL) don't play today at all.

Uh, was the IGT I started for this game not good enough?

Gwreck was the winning starter yesterday. Got to keep his good IGT mojo alive.[/quote:17rznpqd]

Gotcha! Go white-capped Mets!

I see whoever made the one above ripped you off.
Or maybe you ripped them off.
Who cares, lol.

Thats gonna be my new phrase.
Kool beans: deleted.

Thanks. Z! And thank you for the kind words! My brother-in-law made that cake, and it was awesome! I thought about it when I saw the one posted above, too!

How the heck do the Padres keep winning with a line up like that?

Off to the KTE thread I go to find out.

Thanks to Gwreck for enlightening me with an informative KTE. As I suspected, the Padres are winning with pitching.

Correia and Takahashi cruise through the first.

Dabidrye breaks up the double no-no with a well-struck single.

Also, he's feeling grabby, and takes second. Oh, my imaginary Irish grandmother would be faith and begorrah-ing those manners.

Taking everything into account? Yep.

Loud applause greeted that RBI single.

Are there any Padres fans in the Padre park?

Wright singles, then gets a bit of luck on the steal of second when the swipe tag gets there a bit too soon. Pagan cashes him in with a hard single over short. 1-0 Mets.

Guy-who's-named-like-some-guys-we-know and guy-whose-name-reminds-me-of-Tim-Conway-golf-comedy single, and it's two on and no out for the Daddies, with guy-who-sounds-like-a-distance-runner up. He singles too, but the runner at third holds.

Bases loaded, none down for the guy-who-sounds-like-a-Dodge-SUV.

Correia bunts on the first pitch, with Met-catcher-guy holding at third, apparently NOT expecting a squeeze. What we have here... is an apparent failure to communicate.

Hairston communicates one over the left field wall. 4-1 Pods.

Correia Ks for the second out, and Tak's tiptoeing his way out of trouble.

Then, he misses middle-in on the plate, and... motherfather. 4-1.

Tack's first smack. And I thought he was about to wiggle out of it, too. We must lead the league in grand slams allowed. This is at least the third, if not the fourth.

Yes. Fifth, apparently.

Jerry Hariston Jr. (today)
Corey Hart (Saturday)
Shane Victorino (vs. Pelfrey in May)
Felipe Lopez (vs. Valdes in April)
Josh Willingham (vs. Santana in April)

I thought there was a 6th.
