Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 OK, on to the bottom of the ninth. This is still going to be real tough to pull out.And if I know Jerry, he's going to hold Rodriguez out of the game unless the Mets get the lead.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Thankfully, Castillo refused to follow the script and brought Matthews home with the tying run.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 'Yota hitting 95 on the gun hisself, twice. Gassy.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Tulo looks very tempted to complain to the umps about their calling the out.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 What? You mean this isn't the IGT? How embarrassing. This is what happens when you blow off most of spring training and take a break from posting. I guess I need to post on the Bisons board for a while until I find my game again.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 All hail Swallows Man
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Actually, "Gas" is a good nickname for him.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Stewart plays defense like its a foreign language he doesn't speak.
Guest attgig Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 wow. that was closer to being out than tulo's fly...and on a broken bat....
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 he walked/jogged to first. he wasnt making third anyway, but it would be nice to see some effort.
Guest attgig Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 pinch run in the middle of an at bat????eh?
Guest attgig Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 hit weakly enough for a play only at 1st... let's see what cora can do...
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 why is tatis wasted as a pinch runner there? use oliver perez instead of wasting your last hitter! (blanco doesnt count and cora is now batting)edit- or run with Cora and hit with Tatis, either way dumb move by jerry
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Well, they probably also look at him as a defensive improvement.
Guest attgig Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 geez. had to waste tatis so that now, there's a pitching change... keeping me up later in the night.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Francisco up in the pen. I hoping he doesn't impersonate Armando Benitez
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Well, they probably also look at him as a defensive improvement.[/quote:rbk1mp7q]yeah i didnt fully explain myself there, you can use tatis to pinch-hit next instead of Cora, and then leave tatis in the game with the pitcher going to the pinch-runner's spot (i'd use perez to save cora on the bench, but using cora as the PR is fine)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 And I wouldn't want to depend on a pitcher out there as my go-ahead run - especially Ollie
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 And I wouldn't want to depend on a pitcher out there as my go-ahead run - especially Ollie[/quote:3euiem3u]You'd rather rely on Cora to hit over Tatis?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Maine is also a fine choice as a pinch runner. Using Tatis there was a poor choice.Jacobs loafed it all the way, and turned it on a little bit to ensure he made second. Totally unacceptable, even if chances of a triple were pretty slim.
Guest attgig Guests Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 the more retarded thing is manuel waiting until after an intentional walk, and then 4 more pitches to barajas before he actually makes a switch to tatis. switch him immediately, or don't do it at all...was he taking a dump during that time that he couldn't make the switch?
