Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Let the bloodletting commence.Garrett Mock v. Mike Pelfrey
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 It's a new season. Time to beat the crap out of the Gnats on a daily basis
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I'll be in attendance to mock Mock.section 524, row 10, seat 3. Although since I'm going alone I'll probably just roam randomly around the stadium. maybe I'll take a picture of Pelfrey from 13 different angles.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Makes sense, he "breaks up the right-handers" no matter where you put him.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Interesting names in their lineup-- Zimmerman aside, it's like the Island of the Misvalued Toys.Desmond's intriguing, power/speed-wise, and his glove seems to be improving (a pretty good asset for a shortstop).
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Hello? Pelf had a helluva 1st inning but gave up a 2-run, 2-out triple to the 8 hitter in the 2nd. Frenchy hammered a HR to make it 2-1 after 2.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Extra Innings and mlb.tv are blacked out in the DC area when the Mets play the Nationals. I tried to listen to the vapid Bob Carpenter and moronic Rob Dibble, but that lasted for two innings. Carpenter said that Shea is now "a nice parking lot", which hurt, and Dibble said that the Mets lineup doesn't have batters that scare a pitcher so this is the Nationals chance to win games in the NL East. I'm now listening to FAN via mlb audio and it doesn't bother me that it's 5 seconds behind.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Nice play by Cora to end the frame.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Excellent play by Cora... and a blast by Rod-B!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 BARAJAS. SPANKED. TIE GAME.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Rod swings his big stick and ejaculates the ball over the left field fence

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 With two men put on at the back end of the 4th, Mock tries to give the Mets a gift. They ungraciously decline.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Gloveitude in the 5th.-- I like Cora at second a lot more than I like Cora at short. Nice play at the top of the inning to smother a GB and get Harris at first.-- Wright makes a nice snag of a Donkey popup to end the inning.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Wright made a pretty shitty play there.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Did Pagan double clutch or just hesitate because he assumed that the runner wouldn't go?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I think the latter is more like it, he basically tried to fake Willingham from running but he didn't buy it.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 PELF!Be nice to get him a win tonight, I'm pretty sure he just faced his last guy.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 STFD, Big Jawed Rookie.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Rod whips it out and pumps a hot stream into the seats.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 To be fair, even Alex Anthony seemed to think that was gone.C'mon, Canuck.

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 SNY guys thought it was gone. Keith couldn't say anything but:"I was already marking it in my scorecard as a home run...I didn't even see it hit the wall."
