Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 A NY Post piece today is saying that Joe Morgan will not return to the booth for ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball and speculates about the already-on-the-payroll BV as a possible replacement. If all that does come to pass - coupled with the previous Steve Phillips banishment from the 'worldwide leader' - it's a win-win-win situation for Sunday night viewing as far as I'm concerned.

I'd like to stuff Joe Morgan's mouth full of yellow snow.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 This would be an awesome change if it were to go through. Miller/Morgan are horrible and adding Phillips made it unwatchable. Bobby V and Jon Miller I could live with.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 That would be great. I get a feeling Miller would appreciate it too.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Can't find the article now, but I'd caught wind that J.P. Ricciardi was taking over the Phillips seat on SNB. (Although I can't imagine why, since he doesn't really like baseball that much, and doesn't have a passion to talk about the game that much.)
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Jackpot! Only thing better is BV as Mets manager
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 After all these years, they finally partnered Miller with an analyst who can analyze.Later
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 FireJoeMorgan is finally going to win? Holy crap.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 FJM quit writing awhile ago, so Joe can at least say he outlasted them.I really hope this is true, I'd tune in for Bobby Valentine on Sunday nights even if the Mets weren't playing. Do you hear that ESPN executives? I WILL TUNE IN FOR BOBBY VALENTINEthis message is directed to any ESPN-controlled spiders.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2010 Author Posted March 4, 2010 A crawl on ESPN today talks about Orel Hershiser joining Miller [u:185xet1h]AND[/u:185xet1h] Morgan in the booth for Sunday Night Baseball. So apparently Morgan isn't out after all not only meaning there's no chance of Bobby but also keeping the NY Post's rep for accuracy intact.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I refuse to watch Joe Morgan, sorry ESPN
