Frank Catalanotto (spelled correctly!) would be the first player to wear No. 2 since this guy. Since I basically took 1995 off from baseball, researching all this was sorta new to me.

Jeez, the 90s are a complete haze to me. Terrell Lowry? Vaguely, vaguely remember the name and the Mets were my favorite thing in the whole fuckin world, too. Cool stuff, JCL.

Some guy just pointed out the Mets have now had 4 Mannys in team history and three of them (Hernandez, Aybar, Acosta) have worn No. 36. The other, Manny Alexander, wore 6.

That's nuts, man.
