Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 OK, we're lucky not to be down about 8-1 at this point.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 This umpiring crew is having about as bad a series as our own Disableds.

Although it looked like they actually made the right call.edit : Huh... maybe they did blow it. I thought his hand was above the plate but they just showed an angle that made it completely obvious.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Francoeur walked. What next?

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Three games so far, and Angel Hernandez has had the least ostentatiously-bad evening behind the plate. Go figure.(Oh, and shut up, San Diego-- you're not allowed to boo if you bring multiple beach balls to a game.)

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Am I seeing things or is that Luis Castillo at the plate?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 It's like Sean Green has no idea where his pitches are going.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 As if they needed insurance.Oh btw -- this is the worst offense in the NL making all our pitchers look bad.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Uh, The Nationals won again..it couldn't happen, could it?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 (edited) Perhaps this trip was a bad idea. Edited August 8, 2009 by Guest
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 Mets rise to the effectiveness level of the youtube mojo in this thread.

Wright and Pagan were the only starters on-basing over .326. This month's lineups are about as putrid as anything Joe Torre ever had to drag out during the bad old years of the two-button pullovers.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2009 Posted August 8, 2009 ="John Cougar Lunchbucket"]And another Met opponent showing them up in terms of honoring former contributors with a team HoF event.Check out the big # "5" honoring George Brett at the Royals Hall of Fame. Makes more sense than our big "42".
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 I'm glad I've been too asleep/drunk to watch these travesties.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Well, the not shaving hasn't worked. Can someone please tell the Mets wives and girlfriends to read Lysistrata?Later
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 It's not their fault. We're more or less on the C-team by now, let alone the B-team.
