Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I read someplace that Rubin was actually scheduled to be off this week (or at least this series) and even came in on one of his days off specifically because they were having the press conf - so, at least for now, I wouldn't look at his absence as anything other than just coincidence.I guess that makes Adam like the guy in 'Clerks' who whines through half the movie that "I'm not even supposed to be here today" as all kinds of shit is happening to him and around him.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Could Jeff have come across anymore insincere in his apology?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Cora?!?Just as I was splooging over how this team is finally picking one another up.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 PS, fellas, 3-0 on a picket fence through 4.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 I have the sound down, did the scoreboard at Citi just shut down?BTW, beer recommendation, Sam Adams Irish Red. Quite tasty. Must remember this on St Patty's Day '10.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 You guys are missing a good game.Go Big Pelf!
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Pelfrey loads the bases and dances out of trouble to end the 6th, still 3-0
Guest Mendoza Line Guests Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Pelf appears to have borrowed Johan's sack for the evening.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 SNY put a guy on camera with "Phuck" (in Phillies script) on his shirt.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Wright just lost ANOTHER homer to Citi Field, hitting it off the one part of the fence in center thats higher than the rest (right in front of the apple)
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Stupid apple-disguising wall.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 When they do finally get rid of this place, 78-year-old Dabidrye will trample right-handed hitters 1/3 his age to hit the TNT plunger.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Keith just makes me laugh every time he goes on about how important icing an injury overnight it, he's so adamant about his technique. Ron Hunt it was that told him , ice it all night and you'll play the next day.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Respectfully, Todd Helton, STFD.Stretch it out, y'all.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Good stuff tonight, Cory's Haim-like performance notwithstanding. Pelf, Frenchy, Wright, Muffie in the field, Feliciano solid again, etc. Lot's to be optimistic about tonight.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 STUFF ALERT: It could be unfamiliarity with how his offerings look, but Gameday's got this kid Chacin throwing five different pitches... to Schneider alone.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Two on, two out? Hitter's count? Let your hottest hitter bat? FUUUUUUUUCK THAT SHIT.
