Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I would've been fine with using Livan Hernandez there.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Horrible choice. Got to send up a better hitter, lefty or not, in a situation like that.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Sabathia just made as bad an effort running that ball out as you're likely to see.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Another day..another...oh well..overmatched by C.C. Rider

Are you fucking serious?Careful - don't say anything bad about the Mets or Willets will get angry!I just don't understand "unacceptable."
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 It's called frustration.Jeez man, we're fans
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Only thing missing there is Benny Hill with the grounds crew
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Good thing I have the NHL Draft to flip over to.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 why is CC allowed to delay the game ten minutes to bitch about the mound? what if the Mets' pitchers like it the way it was? are we going to wait to change it back and forth every inning?

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Ugh. Bush league defense + Jerry unwisely leaving Misch in for another inning = nausea.

Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Murphy. Just because there are two out you don't give up on the inning. I'd use my best hitter there. A double brings in two and makes it a different game.

I don't have a problem saving Fartinez to PH as a leadoff guy, and saving Schneider as the backup catcher. But Reed and Murphy have more ABs in the pros and just all around better game. Muffie has hit lefties in his career. If it's me that's who I send up.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Elmer gets the fly and Castillo uses both hands to catch the pop fly. And grinning the whole time.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I like the infield fly rule playing second.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Elmer keeps pitching like this he has a chance to stick.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Elmer Dessens, have yerself some beer. Nice pop up inducement with the based juiced.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 About time the Mets have had an Elmer.Though Don Zimmer looked a little like Fudd.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 CC wears the baggiest uniform. Looks like he's in his jammies up there.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 He's 6-7 and probably 330 lbs. How much do you think he'd have to weight to actually fill out that uniform?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Are you fucking serious? Brett Gardner? FUCK.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 On that home run, Gary Cohen just referred to the right field corner as "Utley's Corner."Seriously? WTF?

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 A-Rod with the HR now that the lead is padded. Good stuff right there. Oh, Elmer. I loved you once.
