Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 ="LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr"]Phew.Good one.Did they really play that?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Yep, still playing it after wins. I think it's time for a new song.I'd didn't see the Tampa-Mets tilts in '98 or '00 at Shea and had never seen Tampa anywhere else in an AL park, so now I can finally say I've seen all 30 ML teams in person.Anyway, good game but Parnell is troubling me and I'm fine with him taking a slightly reduced role. Where is Brian Stokes again?Tampa really put on a baserunning clinic with BJ Upton's double, with Bartlett scoring from first (taking full advantage of Sheffield) and then Upton going to third on what was an error on Cora but really was Schneider's fault for not corralling a relay throw.Nice game for Church. Also 3 hits for Murphy. If they can be productive, this homestand might be ok.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 I thought on the replay it looked to me like Schneider was surprised by the throw , if he was he shouldn't have been and it was an ill advised throw by Cora anyway. If you get to see Mets Fast Forward Keith did a great break down of that whole play with a camera view from the blimp, worth checking out. I just checked and Mets Fast Forward is on today at 10AM.
