bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 Car dealerships are closing all over the country but Ford has enough money to advertise a special edition MFY Mustang on Mets radio.

Your call.

Your call.Anything barbs I toss in Green's direction are at least 50 percent attempted-reverse-jinx... if we're doing anything this year, we'll need some productive innings from the firm of Takahashi,Green and Stokes. I've seen some of his previous work (thanks to a friend's Extra Innings package the last few years) and think he can still be plenty useful and good-graces-worthy.JJ ChinPubes, on the other hand, kinda lost me with the "no adrenaline" BS. Not so much the song but the light and sound effects. Mrs. Fafif witnessed it firsthand and marveled that "it's the pitcher who changes the weather."Yes. J.J. Putz appears and it rains base hits everywhere.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Howie just said something that struck me. "The Mets have been humbled this week in Pittsburgh , even with a depleted lineup that shouldn't happen".Really? , yeah it blows that they are getting swept but I don't think that it shouldn't happen . Manuel can't running that lineup out there and expect to win series. As a fan I've been thrilled with how many games we've won the past few weeks with these guys but it was never going to last.

Sadly, the Mets right now are more like the 1985 Dodge Omni I had in college. Ran real well when all of its parts were functioning. Sadly, it spent a lot of time in the shop getting fixed.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I appreciate how Castillo takes pitches when down.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Why is Wright sliding head first into second base with two outs in a game where they're 5 runs down?
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Lost in the non-excitement, besides David getting on base a lot, is the play he made to save Putz embarrassment on the grounder J.J. mishandled. Great instincts, great follow-through in a horrid game.

Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 ]Why is Wright sliding head first into second base with two outs in a game where they're 5 runs down?Keith and Ron said something a while ago that most players don't really switch back and forth between slides--they either go headfirst or feetfirst. By the way, this game blue.
