Guest GYC Guests Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Considering the shit that we're throwing out there and the shit results thatwe're getting, do you think it's worth giving Pedro another shot? I mean, ifhe pitches as bad as this, then well, whatever, we would have gotten thesame thing from any SP not named Santana (or Figueroa, but he's pissedand not going to Buffalo). The only real issue is the fact that he still wants around $5M... but shit, it'snot my money.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 if pedro was willing to take an incentive-laden deal he'd be pitching somewhere already. if the mets wanted to add 5 million in base salary (likely plus incentives) to te payroll they could probably trade for an overpriced veteran who would do more good than pedro.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Feh. I'm still waiting for him to be the savior of any of the last 3 seasons.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 What Namor said.I'm still not terribly pissed in the rotation. They've kept us in most games. The offense just has not been capitalizing on opportunities.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Maybe he needs a new diminutive sidekick.
