G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 SNY opened its first spring telecast with kinescope footage from St. Pete and Bob Murphy's voice welcoming us to Florida for the first time.Best opening ever.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Well keep us updated on the game too
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 2-0 Good Guys. Don't know what inning or any details
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Grand Slam for Reyes.6-0, still don't know the inning.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 OK, I'm ready for the season to startPS, Reyes hit anotha homa
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Reyes just hit another. One from the right side and one from the left. Don't know which was which. Listening to Francesa and he's being quite cryptic about the whole thing.I think its 7-0.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I was hoping to avoid the score but that never works...
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I know that Castillo led off the game with another single - good sign. Also, Jerry batted Ollie 2nd in the order (and apparently intends to do so w/pitchers for a while) so that they'll all get at least one hitting/bunting situation in before their two/three innings are up.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 wow... bunting, hitting the other way... fundamentals. In spring training?IT .. WILL ... WORK!!
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 9-0 now but I just came back in so I don't know how they got the last two
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 Ron Darling has already referred to the "rejuvenated Luis Castillo," so I guess we can take second baseman off the need it/want it list.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 - 3 more times on base for Castillo- staff allowed just 3 hits
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I think Beltran popped a 2-run job late in the game.

soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Did I hear that Big Pelf pulled a hammy today...?

I noticed that the MFY preseason game was in HD.
