A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Blotter.]Jeter Owns Up to Taking Stadium SouvenirBy HARVEY ARATONTampa, Fla. Derek Jeter came clean Wednesday night. He pilfered the Joe DiMaggio sign, as I suspected. When I had last seen Jeter before covering the kickoff party to his celebrity golf classic for his Turn 2 Foundation at the Saddlebrook Resort about a half-north of here, he had refused comment on the famous sign (I want to thank the Good Lord for making me a Yankee) in the tunnel leading to the Yankees dugout that went missing soon after their last Stadium home game.A clue on his intentions had come earlier that night, when he said he had his eye on a particular Stadium keepsake but wouldnt say which. After the game and on-field celebration, I noticed the sign was missing and told him, I know what youre taking out of here, and I asked if I could report it.He shook his head and replied, In due time.Four months later, he admitted he had taken the sign, and another item or two.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I wouldn't want to touch that sign for many reasons but especially now after Jetes has ejaculated over it nightly.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 He also stole A-Rod's heart, I purport.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Ruben Rivera was voted off the team for less.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 How the heck does that not go to YS3? I'm telling you, that team just has no sense of their history at all.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 ="Edgy DC"]Ruben Rivera was voted off the team for less.So true! He just swiped some bats and gloves, if I recall.Freaking Jeter. As if we didn't have enough reasons to hate that bastard. Here's the sign. And to think that I felt really guilty about taking one of the paper "Final Season" inserts from a Shea napkin dispenser.
