bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Don't want to. Scared, for the first time all season.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 I don't blame you. I'm scared too.But I can't do this alone.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Well, David Wright won't help you. His post-game comments, available at wfan.com (which you can download as a podcast: WFAN/New York Mets audio) pissed me off. He said he the pitcher threw a good pitch on 3-2. Yeah, he threw a good pitch out of the strike zone knowing that Wright would chase it. He also said that the starters and relievers have to step up. What about you, Mr. Vitamin Water?
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 I'm up. I'm up.I can't get back to Shea until Sunday. But I'm up.If you're waking us this early, though, you should at least provide some of this -It seems that the Mets could use some of that as well....
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 I thought Wright got totally abused on in that AB , they toyed with him.
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 I'll be there tonight, I'm 5-0 this year. (Unfortunately, and more importantly, Pedro is 5-6.)
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Can we temporarily suspend the Mets '08 campaign?

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Tonight's a bounce back game. Backs are against the wall. I say they win all four left.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Brewers have Yovani Gallardo going tonight , he just got back from the DL , been injured most of the year. Duke going for the Pirates , 5-14 record....sorry I was looking for a reason to be optimistic in that game.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 I've been optimistic all season. I said that we should show the Magic Number and I talked about the Mets as "we" for the first time in my life. But last night was a punch to the gut and I'm still reeling. I wish I could shake it off and be optimistic but it's not happening yet. Hopefully by 7:10.Sorry to be a "buzz kill."
Guest holychicken Guests Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Sorry, can't do it. I have taken one too many shots to the crotch this year than I can emotionally or physically handle.Seriously, is there any count on the number of cock-punching loses we have had to endure this year?

So they know, going in, that they need six innings from their bullpen. There's your reason for optimism. Their bullpen is suck-tastic at near-Met levels.

I will be back at Shea tonight, again. I have a winning record this year at Shea (instead of the unsightly .400 clip I had last year) so maybe that's a good omen.
