TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Ben Sheets leaves the game against the Cubs after 2 innings with forearm tightness and a 3 run lead.Could sink a drowning Brewer squad.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 They ought to have in-game announcement when Sheets doesn't leave the game with some sort of injury.6-1 Brewers in the 7th and they're threatening for more ... oops no, Flyout-DP.Looks like we're going to end this night right where we started it - although with an extra game's space ahead of Houston.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 AND a day closer to the end of the season. Helps against the Brewers, hurts against the Phillies.Let's hope the Cubs have a big comeback in them.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Phreakin' Phillies defeat the Braves by a score of 7-1. I guess the Braves offense isn't quite so good when they don't get to face our bullpen. The Brewers lead the Cubs 6-1 and are still batting in the 7th at Wrigley.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 10-3 final in Tampa. Now a 2-game lead over Boston.
