Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Rats, I knew that bases-loaded-no-outs screw-up would haunt.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Their bases-loaded ground balls found holes, ours didn't.Simple as that so far.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Omar Infante sac fly. 3-2 Atl.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 And they got a SF with the bases loaded--the Mets hit into a DP (Easley).
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Santana's gotta be pulling his hair out with this bunch. And we need this game if the Neise is going in game 2.

So his Crash Davis/Jim Bouton mentality probably gave execs the idea that he'd be great for their "target" audience.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I want two happy outcomes today, but it's not looking good.We may need to get three tomorrow.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 The guy in the TV commercial.

The relievers got the grounders they wanted but both were soft rollers which simply found holes.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Would have been nice to get some runners in the 8th if only to turn the lineup over back to the top.Gotta force a run now with the bench seeing as how 8 & 9 are due to lead off.I'd like to see Murphy be one of the PHersOn edit: I had forgotten Gonzalez was a lefty - hadn't seen him in so long
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 This would be an ideal time for a bloop and a blast.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Nope.I'm officially antsy now.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Bases-loaded/no-outs twice = 1 runNuff said.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Mets lose and Phillies win, virtually simultaneously. This won't be good for our NHOP.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 This was a bad beat. Santana went out and pitched as an ace is expected to do, but the offense let him down. Too many squandered chances came back to bite the Mets. We need the offense to show up in tonight's second game.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 The Mets offense, that is.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Now THAT was a good old fashion 2007 collapse game.Get the lead early, squander a bunch of chances, the offense goes to sleep and the BP gives it up.I am not happy right now.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 YupThat is in response to both Ben and holychicken.
