Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Well, I know what Mariano Rivera would do: He'd turn water into wine and bring your pet goldfish back to life.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Applause? Or applesauce? (Wait, that's a different thread.)
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 The downside is that the video wedding wishes I taped for you with Kelvin Champman is going to seem, well, lacking.Upstaged!

Bam!That is maybe the coolest thing ever , outstanding effort by your brother. So happy that Wright is on our team , what a great guy.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I am so f'in jealous. Kudos to your bro, congrats to you.

Farmer Ted Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 It would have been a much better story if you said Daybidrye's girlfriend was doing the videotaping.

Surely you know me better than that.Daybirye, meanwhile, is a perfect 4-for-4 since he shared his love with me.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I think your brother looks a bit like Anthony Bourdain.

Guest AG/DC Guests Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I don't know this Bordain cat. It sounds like a polling subject. Include pictures.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I think Bourdain is a riot but he's also a major MFY fan.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 A little fatter around the cheeks than your brother I think.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 ="John Cougar Lunchbucket"]I think Bourdain is a riot but he's also a major MFY fan.I love his show. I've seen him eat all kinds of gross things (that's not why I love his show, by the way) but the only time I ever squirmed while watching was when he went to the Bronx and gave a five-minute loving tribute to Yankee Stadium.Ewww.He has, though, inspired me to try all kinds of food where I might have hesitated in the past. It's rare that I get any kind of inspiration at all from TV people, so in that respect, Anthony Bourdain has been somewhat influential in my life. And when my formerly picky son (now 11) tries something different, I tell him, "Anthony Bourdain would be proud of you!"I just wish he wasn't a Yankee fan. (Bourdain, that is. Both my children are fully schooled in the evilness of the Yankee empire.)
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I don't know if you've ever seen him be a guest judge on Top Chef but he just kills whenever he appears.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I like him a lot , seems like a real down to earth guy but at the same time oozes cool. One of my favorite shows was in Uzbekistan where Bourdain went through what seemed like torture from a masseur.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 I liked that Uzbekistan show too. It was also very funny when he had to buy a gift for a new baby. I forget what the gift was, but it was unusual (by American standards) and it was fun watching him try to put aside his own reservations and pick out the right item.(I wish I remembered what it was!)
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Wasn't it a crib?A crib and some devices for peeing?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 Yeah, it was something about urine.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted September 11, 2008 Posted September 11, 2008 What the Hell are you morons talking about?
