metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Phils getting a beating at home , 7 - 1 , Mets up 2 - 0.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 About time this thread saw action.A single from Anderson Hernandez is a bad sign.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 And a two-run homer from Guzman is just bad.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 We're battering Lannan. If Wright hadn't got nailed at the plate...
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Wow, Carlos Delgado. Just wow.

stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2008 Author Posted September 9, 2008 Side discussion, if it isn't the change in managers, is there a chance Delgado is roiding late in a contract year? Is there a chance Delgado was a roider in his past?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I know Perez sucked tonight but he has been brilliant, not good to see him booed of the mound.

Is there a chance Delgado was a roider in his paststeroids aren't some magic button you can just push and start clubbing homers that same day, if carlos was taking anything it would be part of a long term thing and i cant imagine that starting steroids in may or june would account for the huge and sudden increase in productivity

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Kind of a quick hook for Perez considering that most of the Nat hits are just finding holes rather than hard hit (even the HR was a wall-scraper) but you have to make different choices this time of year. And now Figgy IS getting hard hit.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 HEY METS - CUT IT THE FUCK OUT.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Must....get....through.....inning......C'mon guys!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Does anyone here have anything, figgy has nothing.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Finally.I was all set to blame Steve for this inning.Someone get Derek Bell up in the bullpen.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 And now it's 9-4 Marlins.
Guest KC Guests Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 This could be a long month.Sorry Steve, but that two post SHUT ... UP ... was pretty damn funny.7-5, middle of the fourth.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 ]If Wright hadn't got nailed at the plate...Lannan actually only retired 7 batters of the 16 he faced - guys who did the hard part and got on base handed them the other two outs.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Typically I'd be distraught at this point. But this week I just sit back and think "Carlos Delgado still has at least two at-bats left." And I know good things will happen.
Guest KC Guests Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Pitching change. The Mets will bitch slap this pen and win by 6 or 7 runs.

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 lets tack on a few runs so we can really Mock this guy.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I wonder if he threw that ball away on purpose so he could intentionally walk Delgado.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 With first open, they'd be crazy to pitch to him. I see a walk in Delgado's future.
