Guest KC Guests Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Anyone think Wright was being head hunted? That was some filthy high and tight stuff in the high 90's.

Guest KC Guests Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Heilman in for the ninth to get three outs. I think he does well and we nail this one.Damesandgentsawhatverthatguysays ....

stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 What was the corresponding move for Stokes being in the roster?

He's basically coming up from Double A and doing this. How has he been under the radar? We're lucky he's not a Twin.Maybe somebody down there knows a little bit about what they're doing.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 Fun game to be at.Murphy did indeed provide the curtain call, a very nice touch.Delgado's home run landed beyond the back fence of the Mets bullpen. Was listed on the scoreboard as 445 feet.Very nice to see Beltran get it going as well. Agree that Reyes could use Monday off.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 I actually gasped out loud when the ball from Stokes' first hit bounced off the dugout roof and into the stands.Ron Darling: "That was the worst thing I ever saw."
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Darling seemed to think it was intentional.Delgado gets a save.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 By the way, how cool and UMDB-friendly is it that the guy gets his first major league game, may never pitch for the Mets again, and gets dressed in a blue cap and pinnies? Also, I need to tip a cap to Heilman for three straight days of goodness when the Mets need it the most.

It's not like Muniz is filling much of a role right now.
