Guest KC Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 More importantly, I mean I'm tired of him failing ... leaving ... and then some think that his return is going to be something of large value.Guys with only a good inning or so to offer belong in the pen.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 You know what, Carlos? If they're going to overshift in the sixth inning when you're leading off, you drop a bunt on their ass. This isn't a home run situation anyway. Get on base, baby.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 What the hell is Keith talking about?
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Or you could double into the corner. That'd be okay too.I think Keith is off his meds tonight; he's extra silly.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Leadoff double stranded.Grrr...

Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 How did Scheid get a base hit when the ball beat him by 15 feet?
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I might have an aneurysm if Reyes bunts here.
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Nevermind, He pokes it through the infield!
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Gary Cohen shows us again that he is the best in the biz. He called Reyes pulling it by Berkman.
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 And now the Mets tradition of putting awful hitters (sorry, Endy) in the 2 slot is put to the test. No whammies!
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 He's not awfull, but he was overmatched against the lefty. (mondaymorning)We'd've done well to pinch hit Evans(/mondaymorning)
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Endy is terrible. YUCKPS -- Easley was in already. We could have batted Evans, Castro or Cancel.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 "Yuck?"You've been mercilessly beating on Marlon Anderson. Has he called uncle?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Endy has had 2 especially shitty turns at bat this game.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Jerry probably thought that the Mets would take the lead by the end of the inning so he didn't want to lose Endy's glove... except that you have to take the lead before you can worry about protecting the lead. He should have PH Evans (Castro is too much of a DP threat).
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 And Evens is too much of a threat not to get a hit there.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 "Erstad is always preparing and rarely makes a mental error, but he made one there."Translation: "Erstad's white."
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 It would be a shame for the offense not to put up some more runs while the bullpen is keeping us in the game.Score some runs, boys!
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Edgy, are you MLB.TV-ing it tonight, and if so is it crapping out on you at all?
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Fucking hill. One day someone is going to get seriously injured because of that thing.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 This is going well. Muck the Fets. I'm all pissed off.
