Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Jose, it's your game. Don't let any gassed-out back-of-the-bullpen guy take it from you.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 As manager, I would have told Heilman to strike him out as opposed to give up a 2-run homer. I don't what Jerry is doing out there. For some reason I think we got the tying runs in us.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Well so much for my mojo and the last 5 hours of my life
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 They had many, many opportunities to win this game. What a fuckin' buzzkill after coming back twice.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 Hi guys,Just getting here. I'm in Cleveland. Went to see the Indians and Twins tonight. Ended up sitting next to a guy from Wantaugh (sp? It's been a long time)Anyway, we were following the Mets game on the scoreboard. Was Knight any good?
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 Knight battled in the best sense of the word. All of us wearing Mets on our apparel battled, including those of us who stuck it out all 14 innings in every section of the park and then tacked mass transit on at the end of the night.A great and horrible kind of game.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 It was a memorable night. Day. Whatever - I've lost all sense of time....

I salute them all.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 I quit after Tatis grounded out with the bases loaded in the 12th, or whenever that was. Went to bed.I figured they had let too many chances get past them at that point. Ok, let's get the rubber game today boys!
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 This may be the only picture we get of Brandon Knight in a Mets uniform:
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 ="Valadius"]This may be the only picture we get of Brandon Knight in a Mets uniform:Wow, thanks. That's almost perfectly UMDB proportioned too. (I had found some other photos but none of them were good enough. I'll be using this one.)
