Guest KC Guests Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Metsguyinmichigan won out by a minute or two but Rockin' had lineups.I'm not very good at meshing threads, and it's early. Rock on Mets!!

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Wow. Did that clear the picnic area?
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Howie is still trying to figure out if it did.WFAN broadcast comment of the year: "I think you need a hardhat to find that baseball."
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Redman wasn't fooling anyone that inning. Reyes' line out was a shot also. Hopefully the Mets will keep pounding the ball.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Saw the end of that Phils game today. When I tuned in it was 2-2 in the 8th and Im thinkin: yes, Phils can lose and Mets can take 1st tonight. Then WHAMBAMtyMAM, it was 6-2.Like they were waiting for me to tune in before exploding.Darn Phils.Even if we should lose tonight, Im really amazed and happy where we are here at the break.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Joe Morgan believes that this week's All Star Game will be the most exciting in the last 20 years. Why? Because it will be played in Yankee Stadium. So why'dja stop at 20 years, Joe?
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 ="Zvon"]You may need to flip that image over.

Imagine the weeping?

Lots of it. "Greatest game ever" washed away.Would serve 'em right.Got my program in the mail yesterday. Usually there is a token home team story. This, however, is virtually all MFY. It went on the shelf with the others. I might never look at it again. Gag.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Pelfrey is also the run-support king of the staff.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Y'know what Reyes [u:3c8dc4b9c2]doesn't[/u:3c8dc4b9c2] do that kind of bugs me? ... when he has the next base made easily (like on the Evans bingle to RCF) he doesn't go at that base agressively so as to put pressure on the defense. Getting to 3rd with a some intent to it sticks the idea in the defense's head that they might get burned by another base unless they get teh ball back in quickly and without a bobble or a mis-throw.By cruising in like he does he lets them off the hook and kills his chances of taking advantage if they ever do screw up. Most of the time it won't matter but it bugs me anyway.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 A lot of letters on the Rockies roster: Koshansky, Podsednik, Quintanilla, Tulowitzki, Torrealba. (How's that for great baseball analysis? It's my first IGT in a week so I'm rusty.)
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Beltran almost nailed Redman with that shot.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Video of Morgan hitting a typical Jeter cheap-ass fence-scraping pennant porch homer.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Uh, oh. The magic third hit against Pelfrey. He's supposedly on a 100-pitch limit tonight.
