Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 I hate the sac bunt. Pull the ball and you advance Reyes and as Knot said, you just might even get a hit and RBI.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Yes! Beltran drives home Reyes for an insurance run!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 And now Wright Ks and the gain from the sac bunt is out the window. But Beltran singles as I type and brings the run in!
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 This is one of those times where Beltran's speed comes into play. Because if say Delgado was still in the cleanup spot, the sac bunt would prompt me to int. walk Wright and go for the DP. Instead, Wright probably got the semi-int. walk (except he struck out instead).Upon edit: Damn, I'm always a batter behind with Gameday. I guess I should pay to actually see the games, but I feel like I spend too much time at the computer now.
Guest KC Guests Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Delgado is just a suckah for that low breaking stuff inside. A suckah.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Might have gotten a break on that call.2 down
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 I don't believe what I just saw!I don't believe what I just saw!I don't believe what I just saw!
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Good thing we got that insurance run, I guess.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Wagner is the worst. What a looooser.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 I don't like Jayson Werth. I'd bet he's a .300 hitter against us easily.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 A slider right over the heart of the plate to Werth.Right over the heart of the plate. Why Wags, WHY?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Lost in the Wagner mess is the news that CC Sabathia has been traded to the Brewers.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 And now we've got the bottom of our lineup due up, the middle of theirs, and the best part of our pen is spent.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 I feel partly to blame, not as much as Wagner, but partly. I'm the one, that during the rain delay, said I wanted to see an episode of Stinky Madson.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 We are not gonna run for Schneider here?
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Sunuvabitch. I just clicked over to my fantasy league, and unless Wags comes back and gets a W, he might have just cost me a fucking win this week. Dickhead.
Guest mario25 Guests Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Wagner blows away Werth with two fastballs then proceeds to throw a lollipop slider...real bad

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 With A Reyes's "power" and Schneider's "speed" could he even score him with two hits?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 I've never hated any Met as I hate Wagner.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 The funny thing is that the single -- and only a single -- kept Schneider in the game. If he had made an out, they would've switched him out for Castro, as the pitcher's spot would be leading off the next inning. If he had gotten a double, they would've put in a pitcher to pinch run for him.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 The Mets really don't have much to throw out there as pinch hitters. Aguila? A. Reyes? They won't use Castro unless they have to since he is the only catcher left. I'm guessing that Church isn't available.
