Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 This could almost serve as a soundtrack for this miserable season. The last selection would be a hidden track, dedicated to Shea's last season, if I was actually producing this soundtrack.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Whipping post, definitely. However, you need to change it from 'sometimes I feel' to 'I always feel.'
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Doc, the title of the Freddy Fender song summarizes the season perfectly.Later
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I was thinking the other day that the Mets victory song really doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Taking Care of Business was perfect for a team with a big lead and the division wrapped up. It makes no sense for this team, or even last year's team.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 I wish I could have done a poll in which more suitable titles would have been along the lines of We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions (Queen), but I have lost all faith of that coming to fruition this year. I don't care what delusional blueprint the players came up with for the remainder of the season, this team appears destined to wallow around .500 for the season.I admire Willet's optimism, but I see little to be optimistic about. I will continue to hope for the best, but I will realistically be expecting the worst.
