Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Church gets Wright home with a sac fly. Beltran at third with one down. The Mets really need to get him home.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Nice at-bat by Tatis. I think he was trying to get Zito to 100 pitches all by himself.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Outstanding walk by Tatis.Let's see some power here, Delgado.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 It's trendy to say the lineup goes as Reyes goes. But long-term it's always going to be about Wright and Beltran. I think it should be obvious given their positions in the lineup.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Not to have any sympathy for the enemy but Zito is trying out there. His stirrups are also not quite up to major league speed but he's at least showing something.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I was going to berate Tatis for flailing at the first two pitches like a child swinging at a pinata, but he turned it into a great at-bat.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Wow. Delgado fails to hit into a DP spectacularly.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 A break there as Delgado gets the RBI FC.Bye bye Mr. Zito.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Not sure why the second basemen on the Giants don't know how to position themselves for a DP. He couldn't get over to cover on Delgado's chopper. Vizquel tried to beat Tatis to the bag and the attempt also meant he couldn't throw out Delgado.I was about to say I'd prefer a Delgado strikeout to a Delgado DP in that spot. I guess it worked out.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I hate to see Zito leave. It was starting to look like a merry-go-round out there for the Mets.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 The best free agent signing we DIDN'T make.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Chuck Chulk coughs up a bloop single. Now here's Pedro.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Pedro just knocked Joba off the back page with that hit.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 PETEY! Bloop single and RBI for Pedro. Good stuff.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Criminy! The baby wakes up and I miss three runs.At least the Mets are still batting.Go Pedro!

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Easley clears the bases and we've scored 8 this inning.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Lots of screams of pleasure from the crowd when Pedro flipped that hit into right.
