Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I feel like I just watched a bunch of pitchers take batting practice in Spanish.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Anyone know why the Mets are playing two games at Wrigley this year, and the Cubs are playing four at Shea?Is there going to be a similar shift with another Central Division club? Or is this just one of those inexplicable quirks that comes with the wacky schedule?Or is the pope somehow at fault?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Thought Anderson woulda got the start at 1B despite the lefty.... That was the speculation on radio last nite.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 We could wind up visiting Wrigley again in the playoffs. Best Cub start since 1985, according to to this blog with a million comments already.http://www.bleedcubbieblue.com/
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Goofing off on the job officially begins.I'm watching the enthralling pitch-by-pitch on mlb.com.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Yeah, looking good, Delgado.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 There's no excuse for the Mets not to be bitch slapping Ted Lilly around!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Cubs have the bases loaded with none out in the second.Cedeno batting.DEE-FENCE!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I want a triple play, and I want it NOW!!!!!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 How about a caught looking and a GDP?Mets get out of it!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Hank White hits into a GiDP by rolling one to Joe King
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I go around hoping for a triple play at all times, but that is an acceptable alternative.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Nelson is touched by the hand of God right now. Mets are scuffling and the homeboy is immune.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Nine up, nine down for the good guys.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Still scoreless through 3.I wonder if Figueroa's family is back at Shea, watching the game on TV from Billy Wagner's luxury box?
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Ted lilly is PERFECT through 10 batters, thats right, he's throwing a PERFECT game... (you can still jinx those things right?)
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 You can try!For a second I thought Pagan had plunked in an extra base hit, but it was foul by a fair amount.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 And there's the actual extra-base hit.Pagan doubles into the gap between right and center.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Pagan with a revenge smash.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Lilly, pitching carefully to Wright, walks him.Now Beltran...
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 jinx successful.now lets try again... lilly is throwing a SHUTOUT, he's SHUTTING OUT the Mets.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Beltran walks too.Delgado, bases loaded, one out.I smell a double play. I'm thinking a grand slam will be nicer. (And will smell nicer too.)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Carlos I walks, be a nice time for Carlos II to break out.
