theres always a gray area thats hard to deal with. i think this one is just on the "ok" side of the line but i'm sure others will differ.
1. its about baseball
2. though it is personal its not an attempt to sell anything
3. he's an occassaional contributor not a 1st post advertiser and
4. he's just not rude about pushing his show (i can think of others who have come on here and tried to act like god and pretend they have secret sources and stuff.)

if this had been "hey heres my mets jersey ebay auction" from msilva i'd want it moved, but then again that same post from yancey would imo be acceptable given his level of contributions, so its not usually going to be clear whats ok andwhats not, just zap things that become a problem.

I'm sure Silva's broadcasts have a lot to offer all of us. He'd just generate more interest if he interacted instead of hitting and running, knowha'mean?

If we're voting, I'm with Namor. I think there's enough legitimate baseball content that this doesn't bother me.

OTOH, I second the comments that it would be nice if Mike would stick around and interact more.

I'm with the Fairy, here. This is not bad information for a Mets fan, it's good information -- someone might actually want to listen. And yeah, I'd like to see a little more indication that Mike thinks we're interesting to talk to, not just potential listeners to him.

I'm sure that many of the interviews and discussions MSilva177 promotes here might be interesting to listen to, but I never even consider doing so since I view his presence here as only a means of self promotion for his shows. If he would take a little time to participate in discussions here, even on a limited basis, then I would be more inclined to check out the shows he promotes.

MSilva177 has made 30 posts since joining the forum. Every one of the 30 is to promote a sportsradio program.

OTOH, no forum wants posters who'd "join the discussion" solely for the purpose of being able to promote freely. A contribution to the community chest ought to be enough, no?

Hey everyone

Thanks for the kind words - unfortunately I can't guarentee how consistent I will be posting. I have 3 shows on the network and working on other projects including managing the site.

I do contribute on all of the message boards that I frequent from time to time, but not anything that would be called consistent.

If its a problem, no big deal - I respect your wishes and would not want to cause trouble on the site.

My main goal was to keep you informed of interesting content that you may or may not want to listen to -
