The Sage clan will be in attendance on sunday.

Cool - then we'll have three DiamondKnights in attendance.

JCL - "Have you met that kid? I mean, man..."

I think what Lunchbucket is trying to say is that I need to bring extra food for the tailgating. My son became a catcher for a reason.

Fora Online 031308 - "cranepoolforum.net officials have con-
firmed that in light of the higher than expected turnout for this Sunday's
Times Square event, Mr. Met was contacted to make an appearance but
is booked for two St. Patricks Day events on Long Island. They also re-
ject reports that SteveJRogers was solicited to entertain as Freddie Sez as
gibberish."

Mr. Met is a hard man to book.

Last October one of my co-workers, who lives in Flushing, had Mr. Met make an appearance at his wedding reception!

From what I heard, Mr. Met was more popular than the bride (who actually is a bit of a MFY Fan, but my friend is working on the conversion) that night!

Is this your friend?

Or is this your friend;

Can somebody tell me how to embed YouTube vids in my posts?

To the right of the video screen on the youtube page there's a section that
shows who posted the video and stuff and at the bottom of that box there
is a tiny line that says "embed" and provides the html to cut and paste.

Good question, if someone goes early should they ask for a reservation for "Cranepool?"

Also we might be the ONLY people there paying attention to the baseball game! =;)

Seriously, got some great pro and college hoops action (and even HS action as well from MSG) with the Selection Sunday tomorrow night, and all the conference tournys end tomorrow, and you have the Lakers trying to stop the Rockets from getting their 22nd straight win, which is 2nd to the '73 Lakers' 33 straight wins...

Well, Pedro is supposed to take the hill for the Mets...that's something =;)

They might not even show the baseball games.

I PM'd Valad and hchick my cell phone number, hopefully they'll log on
this morning. I'm large, bald, and will have orange on ;-)

I'm sure if we pester them, and slip in some generous tips. Plus Pedro is starting.

That took more pestering than one would imagine!

Good meeting, nice to see everyone and meet a few new faces.

Thanks again to Gwreck for helping rally the group, looking forward to the
May game -- especially the tailgate.

The winners of the door prizes should post photos of them.

Was nice to see/meet everyone. Hope to see you all again at the May tailgate/game.

I had a fantastic time. It was my first time meeting everyone who was present. It was great to meet you all. I look forward to the May game, which barring unforeseen circumstances I will be able to attend.

My son won this set of baseball cards -

I won this 1984 Information Guide. Check out the depiction of Davey Johnson and his state of the art computer -

Thanks Kase for your generosity!

Great seeing everyone. I left with a sweet door prize too -- that's right, post-lunch coffee with Steve J. Rogers!

The most bizarre episode of the afternoon was our fight to get the Mets game on TV. Keep in mind that this is the ESPN Zone in the middle of Times Freakin' Square, with something like 40 televisions. The Philadelphia Flyers/Pittsburgh Penguins game is on several sets, there are basketball games galore, the MFYs are on, but no Mets. So we ask them to put it on, only to be told that it couldn't be done. We ask to see a manager, who also tries to explain to us that the televisions have been pre-programmed and could not be changed.

Needless to say, he wasn't impressing us much. We basically told him that this wasn't acceptable.

Shortly thereafter, the impossible became possible, and the Mets game miraculously appeared on one (small) screen (replacing a football game from last season that was being shown on the NFL Network). We missed Pedro's first inning, but caught the rest of his outing.
