Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 JCL - "Have you met that kid? I mean, man..."I think what Lunchbucket is trying to say is that I need to bring extra food for the tailgating. My son became a catcher for a reason.

They also re-ject reports that SteveJRogers was solicited to entertain as Freddie Sez as gibberish."

Guest Kong76 Guests Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 To the right of the video screen on the youtube page there's a section thatshows who posted the video and stuff and at the bottom of that box thereis a tiny line that says "embed" and provides the html to cut and paste.

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 So how are we gonna know where to find each other tomorrow?
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Good question, if someone goes early should they ask for a reservation for "Cranepool?"Also we might be the ONLY people there paying attention to the baseball game! = Seriously, got some great pro and college hoops action (and even HS action as well from MSG) with the Selection Sunday tomorrow night, and all the conference tournys end tomorrow, and you have the Lakers trying to stop the Rockets from getting their 22nd straight win, which is 2nd to the '73 Lakers' 33 straight wins...Well, Pedro is supposed to take the hill for the Mets...that's something =
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 They might not even show the baseball games.I PM'd Valad and hchick my cell phone number, hopefully they'll log on this morning. I'm large, bald, and will have orange on ;-)
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 I'm gonna be able to make it today. I'll be wearing a Mets hat with a Giants Super Bowl Champions sweatshirt.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Great seeing everyone. I left with a sweet door prize too -- that's right, post-lunch coffee with Steve J. Rogers!
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 The most bizarre episode of the afternoon was our fight to get the Mets game on TV. Keep in mind that this is the ESPN Zone in the middle of Times Freakin' Square, with something like 40 televisions. The Philadelphia Flyers/Pittsburgh Penguins game is on several sets, there are basketball games galore, the MFYs are on, but no Mets. So we ask them to put it on, only to be told that it couldn't be done. We ask to see a manager, who also tries to explain to us that the televisions have been pre-programmed and could not be changed.Needless to say, he wasn't impressing us much. We basically told him that this wasn't acceptable.Shortly thereafter, the impossible became possible, and the Mets game miraculously appeared on one (small) screen (replacing a football game from last season that was being shown on the NFL Network). We missed Pedro's first inning, but caught the rest of his outing.
Guest Triple Dee Guests Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Did everybody behave themselves ?
