Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 On the bright side......I can celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary in two weeks without sneaking off to check on the score of a playoff game....I won't be spending lots of money on horribly over-priced division champs caps, t-shirts, DVDs....I don't live in the homeland, so I don't have to deal with the Yankee hacks in my face everywhere I look. And I would trade it all for 8 more runs today.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 One the bright side......I get to be able to breathe again.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 ...I just saved $244 on NLDS tickets....I'll save money on championship T-shirts and memorabilia....When my wife wants to watch a show with me, I won't have to say "after the game."...My wife said that she might take my mind off the Mets later....The guy ahead of me in my fantasy league had Glavine (4th place). Glavine's 189 ERA from today allows me to finish tied for 4th (and in the money)....(and best of all) We will never have to see this Mets team again.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 The only bright side I can think of is that there will be no chance of a gut-wrenching post season series loss to deal with. That's about it.

Guest Iubitul Guests Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 ... I don't have to worry about hard drive space on my TiVo.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Yeah! I was thinking the same thing!
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 ...I don't have to worry about stopping at Modells to overpay for a locker room cap tomorrow on my way to class Monday night....I don't have to worry about missing a Met game while I'm in Atlanta in mid-October.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 I get to finish my son's room without starting and stopping because of the Mets, I just finished painting today and finished a cabinet right now.
Guest Iubitul Guests Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 ... I have more time to clean the scuff marks on the kitchen floor caused by my 9-year old working on her tap dancing.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Similar to Mets Guy in Michigan. My 20th anniversary is Wednesday and we're going away next weekend (Friday through Monday) and staying at a b-and-b and the whole time I was worried how I was going to sneak off to see the game. Marriage saved.
patchyfogg Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 I would say that I saved on car insurance but that would remind me of the "a quick 15-minute call...." radio spot and that would make me sad.
stevejrogers Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 ...I don't have to write up long KTE postseason threads and then act like a little bitch when I think no one apprecates my work.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Steve, that was actually funny. Well done.
