Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Sat, Sun, Mon would be three days ... I've seen nothing on this but maybeWillie is sending him another message.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Not fucking Gomez again...
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 It's because of Gomez's baserunning skills. Oh snap!
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Kid Carsey - "...I've seen nothing on this but maybe Willie is sending him another message."Something along the lines of, you lose control and act like an ass and I will bury you so deep on the depth chart that you will wish you were in Binghamton. Even if such a display of my authority cost the team to potentially lose games going down the stretch in a heated pennant race.
Guest martin Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 this is gonna be a fun game. i am looking forward to seeing these humber curveballs. seems like every other met throws a ton of sliders. it will be a nice change to see a curve or two.

Guest Mendoza Line Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Willie may not be expecting more than 5-6 innings from Humber, in which case Milledge (or Green) probably comes off the bench to PH and stay in the game. So it may not matter too much that Gomez is starting. No, I don't think it makes that much sense to start a guy hitting .230 just so that you can pull him out of the game in the sixth. Just trying to figure out some logic behind the madness.'Course, if Humber can go deeper into the game, so much the better.
Guest martin Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 big guy, that humber, listed at 6'4 210, looks good, looks confident. i remain optimistic.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Nice 1st inning for Humber.Rollins just lead off the Phils game with his 19th triple of the year.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Way to go Carlos. C'mon guys, I want more.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Humber wears his uni loosef'in back to back. Alou's streak now at 57 games I think
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Way to go Moises.I want more.
Guest martin Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 a coupla dingers, a sweet zvon graphic, humber looking cooler than a box of cucumbers, everything is just about right so far.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Freaking Alou is a MONSTER!! A MONSTER I tell you!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Whoever can see, how deep was that fly out by Dads?Says deeeeeeeep center on Stattracker.Man,...I wanted 3.Three is a magic number.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Make believe that you're the manager of the Braves. Rollins has lead off w/a triple but your pitcher, Tim Hudson--a righty--gets Utley and Burrell. Howard, a lefty is up next. Don't you walk him? Nope. At least he only got a single.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Make believe you are the manager of the Mets. You've had Phillip Humber on your staff since the first week in September. Yet you give starts to Brian Lawrence and wear your bullpen down while the kid sits admiring the view of the home run apple from the seats near the tomato plants....
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Tim Hudson is a top pitcher and its only the 1st inning, why put another guy on base, let hudson pitch
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 30Alou is fucking incredible.

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 For a team out of contention, the Reds sure have a quick hook... Tom Shearn was yanked after only 38 pitches in the first inning after allowing 4 runs on 2 homers (to Berkman and Lee), a double, an infield single, and 2 walks.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Whew.Fick flops out to right with two on.Close the door Humber!
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Humber can work out of jams, too.If he does well, I'd really like to see him on our postseason roster.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 i'd like to see him on the postseason roster already, i dont trust our bullpen.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 It's a miracle! Gomez got a hit!
