Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Willie: "Could lose him for a week to 10 days"Probably see a "modified platoon" with Green & Conine with maybe a bit of Marlon mixed in.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Now would be a good time for Conine to remove his mouth from bhmc.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 What did Conine do? I'm semi out of the loop.

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I think he's like 2-for-16 as a good guy (don't quote me on xact figures) and he couldn't even show up his old team this week.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 The Barbarian really needs to step it up here. Green's been decent lately. We haven't seen much of Marlon recently, though.OE: Removed a "though" at the end of the second sentence. Oops. Totally zonked out writing this post, didn't notice it.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 I move for an immediate 100 day suspension of Valadius. Second?

Guest sharpie Guests Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 He used "though" in two sentences in a row.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Whoa whoa whoa, hold on there! If this is because you think I made up the nickname "The Barbarian", you're wrong. Conine himself uses it, as evidenced by his personal website:Jeff Conine's page on his restaurant's website
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Sorry for my reading comprehension above, I read it quickly as Conine didor said something he shouldn't have. We could ban Valad for having a recliner and not having to put up his feet ona Dairylea crate in his first crib while surfin' on a SHITTY internet FUCKINGconnection.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Inneresting piece from the NY Observer on Delgado and particularly the Mets' repeated understating of injury-time.http://nyobserver.com/2007/mets-season-could-pivot-carlos-delgados-hip
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 It does seem astonishing how over the last few years the Mets have handled injured players, specifically weather to DL them or not,I think though with certain injuries like the one Chavez had it's difficult to give an accurate timetable for a return.I wonder if it's the same at other clubs.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Do we have to have reasons for banning people?
