] Limit one entry per person. In the case of multiple entries for the same individual, only the first entry received will be considered.

I suppose I'll enter. Last year the Mets played all of their postseason home games during the week, if I remember correctly. (I think they had one Friday night game, which was a makeup of a rainout.)

If I had the chance to buy tickets for a weekend game, I might be tempted to pull the trigger. And if I get the chance to buy tickets I don't intend to use, I don't think I'd have trouble getting rid of them.

For individuals who register by 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, September 10, 2007, a random drawing for the opportunity to purchase up to four (4) tickets to one (1) game of the 2007 National League Division Series ("NLDS") that may be played at Shea Stadium will be held on or about Tuesday, September 11, 2007. Each individual selected will be notified by Thursday, September 13, 2007 via the e-mail address submitted on the registration form. Individuals selected for each of the three postseason series drawings will be selected from the same pool of registrants (including, for each round after the NLDS, additional individuals who registered after the close of registration for prior rounds) and notified via email with instructions on the ticket purchase process including dates and times for these sales. Registrants (including those selected in previous drawings) will be eligible for each drawing.

So you just have to register once, and you'll be in the drawing for the NLDS and any subsequent series that the Mets may play. The September 10 deadline only applies to the NLDS. If you miss that deadline, there are two later deadlines for the NLCS and the World Series, respectively.

I registered last year and got three "Sorry, Loser!" e-mails. Maybe I'll have better luck this year.

I got tix to the non-existent fifth game of the NLDS. They had charged my credit card when I gave it to them (when I got the tix) but waited until the end of the World Series to refund it, when they'd already been out for over a week.

You wish. Unlike the regular season, where there about 10 different price categories for tickets, it's very basic for the postseason. Those "back rows" tickets will be the same as the mezzanine reserved/upper reserved price.

I didn't put up the prices for Field Box, Loge Box, Mezzanine Box and Loge Reserved because 1. I don't know what they are and 2. Generally speaking, they're not available to the public -- only if you are a season ticket holder.

One per email, but why limit your entries to yourself? Last year, I got my mother to enter -- and she won for Game 7 of the NLCS. Of course, a winning entry is nontransferrable -- the name and address submitted must match the person actually buying the tickets. But if you have friends/family who will buy the tickets on their credit card for you, have them enter too!

Only if you want to pay through the nose. Their "buyer protect" guarantee is very good (they guarantee you won't get fake tickets; that you'll get a refund if the game isn't played, etc). There are very few bargains to be found. Expect to be playing at least 3-4x face value.

]Mets Non-Played Game Postseason Ticket Return Policy: No refund will be made on the face value of this ticket, or any applicable service charges, except as expressly provided hereon. In the event the game indicated on the face of the ticket is not played, refunds, if applicable, will be issued as follows: All tickets, whether issued through the New York Mets or any other Participating or Non-Participating Club or the offices of Major League Baseball or its Broadcast Partner(s), are AUTO ACCOUNT CREDIT (as indicated on the front), and the only refund available from the New York Mets is that the Mets ticket account of record will automatically be credited in an amount equal to the face value of the ticket and any applicable service charges. Tickets to unplayed games will have no value and SHOULD NOT be returned to the New York Mets.

Translation: if you have tickets for game 5 and there is no game 5 you won't get your money back, you'll get a Mets "store credit" for next year.

That's very nice of them. I'll drive from DC to NY for a playoff game but I doubt I would for a regular season game. So if I'm selected and the game isn't played, they hold my money and collect the interest.

That's incorrect.

You still get your money back. The difference is that the refund goes to the person who bought the ticket. Not the person who holds the physical ticket.

They're saying that if the game doesn't occur then the physical ticket becomes worthless so the credit will be returned [u:5a1986a121]to the account that bought them[/u:5a1986a121].

i'm seeing SCAM$ gone wild if people can sell tickets to the last game of a series and then get paid again when the game isnt played

Once again -- you do get your money back.

The point of the "auto account credit" is
1. It eliminates the need to mail a physical ticket back to the Mets for a refund;
2. It (hopefully) cuts down on ticket scalping, because people probably wouldn't buy a ticket to a game 5, 6 or 7 knowing that if the game wasn't played, there would be no guaranteed refund (because they weren't the original purchaser of the ticket).

Credits for unplayed games go to the "ticket account" holder and then are refunded back to the credit card used to purchase the tickets.

The secondary market for postseason baseball tickets (particulary in New York) can be a very nasty thing.

i like the old "wait on line outside the stadium all day" deal... at least this way the scalpers earned their money by standing out there for 10 hours for a game they werent going to.

The switch to an email-based lottery was discussed extensively last year, although not here, I think.

While the lottery is indeed flawed to a certain extent, I do think it has more merit than in-person sales only and does make abuse of the ticket sale process much harder.

FYI, I heard from another guy on the MOFO (the webmaster of stadiumpage.com apparently) that this is the breakdown of the games for Saturday and Sunday plan holders.

Saturday - NLDS Game 1, NLCS 2 & 6, WS 3

Sunday - NLDS Game 2, NLCS 1 & 7, WS 4

The only thing that ends up changed from last year is the LCS, and in that case because of last year's rainout, it's only 6 and 7 that are being flipped.
