My source says "modern." That term is usually used to refer to "since 1900." I got home and checked my source's source, and find that they mean "since 1946."

Hobson's 43 errors were largely the result of an elbow injury, immortalized by the Sons of Sam Horn poster named "Butch Hobson's Bone Chips." He was forced to get a running start on his throws, and believed himself to be such a detriment that he asked Don Zimmer to yank him from the lineup.
