Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I agree with cleon. Let's win this fucking game.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Giving Smoltz an early see-ya would go a long way to erasing lastnight's game. Another hour ... ug
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 We have five .300 hitters in our lineup. How about that?
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Dukie just made Texiera look foolish.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Great catch Hayes, don't ever fuckin do it again.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 3 hard hit balls to start the second. A fly out to the track and two line drive base hits.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 1 run through four, gonna take more than that despite OHern's thingy.

Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Just trying to fit in with the elitists.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Gotta get Ramones' lyrics in from time to time, it's an edict from way back ...
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Is Reyes getting thrown out more than he used to?
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Seems so. That freakin' slide of his makes my heart stop sometimes.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 apparently chipper still owns the Mets. 2-1 bad guys
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 I have zero faith that we'll come back.
Guest Kid Carsey Guests Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Weird double by Larry, it was basically a base hit to center but Lastingswas positioned well to left center. Scoring from first there looked bad.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Smoltz owns David with that slider.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Well, we should have had more runs all along. Two seperate innings started with a lead-off Reyes single [u:ba7d8cff9f]AND[/u:ba7d8cff9f] a SB (one steal, one a pick-off error). Then there were THREE productive outs mixed in (one bunt, one Sac Fly, one groundout) but a total of only 1 run was scored.Showing once again, in my mind, that so-called productive outs are nearly as important in run building as many seem to think. They rarely do squat unless you also get hits to go along and if you do that then you don't need to move-up outs.
